Dave Godfrey

Dave leads in the design and build of The Studio Group facilities globally.

Dave has led on the design/build of more than 3 million sqft of purpose-built stage development with 5 million sqft support space across the world. He currently is advising on over 1.5 million sqft of stage space globally.

As Director of International Operations at Pinewood Group from 2010 to 2018, Dave was responsible for management and strategic roll out of Pinewood/Shepperton international studio presence worldwide. He led in the Design and Development for Pinewood studio facilities in Atlanta, USA; Toronto, Canada; Iskander, Malaysia; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Cardiff, Wales; and Wanda’s Qing Dao Studios in China.

Dave also has 30 years experience in Studio Management and Operational systems with Pinewood Shepperton Studios, where he oversaw all aspects of operational management for Pinewood, Shepperton and Teddington Studios. Dave was responsible for strategy, protocol, budgets, security, staffing, training, Health and Safety, management and was Licensee for the studio with On and Off Licences for Restaurant, Bars and Function suites.

Dave plays a key role in tenant service contracts with year-round tenants who service productions, including operational, technical, mechanical and electrical engineering and leasing.

Dave is experienced in Studio HR, including international permits to work, security protocols, job design and staffing, 3rd party contracting, transport and accommodation.
